Hello neighbours!

My name is Nadia and I am a journalism student of the Advanced Feature Writing course at Ryerson University.

I am seeking interview subjects of Canadian immigrants in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver aged 25-35 years old, that have experienced difficulty with dating/initial attraction since their arrival. The candidates must also originate from the following continents: Asia, Europe, South/Latin America, and Africa, and must be single and actively looking for a romantic endeavour.

The purpose of this study is to write a feature article that will prove that there is a flaw with how Canadians view dating, and how there is a fear of commitment and open communication. The story idea came from numerous conversations amongst my immigrant friends and I over the past two years, and I think this is an important story to be told, because it is a repetitive conversation that hasn't really changed.

I just have to prove that it's true, outside of just my friends telling me that it is. That's where you come in.

If you are interested, please email me with your phone number and I will give you a call to ask you some preliminary questions. Unfortunately, because I am a student, I do not have the funds to pay you, but I am hoping that you are equally passionate about bringing this story to the forefront of Canadian media.

I hope you will be interested in participating! Thank you and take care.

Nadia!
