TRINITY & LEWISTON DAM OPERATIONS CHANGE ORDER

The Bureau of Reclamation's Central Valley Operations Office has released a change order notification for flows from Trinity and Lewiston Dams today, December 31. Due to a combination of low water diversions in 2024 and significant recent precipitation, current
storage in Trinity Reservoir sits at 124% of average (74% of total capacity) and requires the release of additional flow to the Trinity River to absorb future winter storms.
We are advised that given the time of year and
since inflows to Trinity Reservoir have reached storage management thresholds, it is reasonable to assume that flows to the Trinity River will remain elevated
above 300 cubic feet per second for the foreseeable future, and that further hydrological events could warrant additional action from Central Valley Operations.
