Job description:

Position Summary:

Do you want to be a part of the Integrated Data Warehouse team and utilize your technical skills to develop our Advanced Analytics/Big Data environment? The ETL Informatica Senior Developer will work as a development lead in the ETL development team within the Retail Pharmacy Data Warehouse. You will also work closely with the ETL Architects and Project management team to develop highly scalable systems to meet the business requirements.

As ETL Informatica Senior Developer, you will design, develop and deploy business intelligence and data warehousing projects.

Your primary responsibility will include:

· Create and review ETL detail design documents that will be followed by the ETL developers to build Informatica mappings and objects.

· Review and analyze functional requirements and mapping documents.

· Perform data analysis on the Enterprise data warehouse to understand potential data issues and quality concerns.

· Develop and unit test Informatica objects, including mappings, sessions, and workflows based on the prepared low level design documents.

· Develop and unit test Unix shell scripts for file validation as well as format the input or output data as part of Pre-ETL or Post-ETL tasks.

· Develop and unit test Data Load Auditing Rules for Quality Control.

· Validate the data in the target tables once it has been loaded based on the mapping logic.

· Debug mappings and identify errors and error rows so that they can be corrected and re-loaded into a target system.

· Conduct performance tuning of Informatica Mappings, processes, and load routines.

· Design, develop and deliver customized ETL and Database solutions for different projects requirements.

· Contribute to the review of test plans and test cases to ensure all requirements are covered and the documents are thorough.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Communicate with source and consumer environment stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between various environments during design, development, testing and deployment phases.

· Assist in deploying and migrating products within the production environment, serve as the subject matter expert for systems in production, and help to ensure a stable, robust production environment.

· Maintain and monitor jobs and programs in production as well as provide issue resolution for any production failures.

· Assist and provide guidance to resolve system-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

· Must have at least 3 years of experience in ETL Application Development using Informatica powercenter version 9.5.x or later.

· At least 1 year of experience on each of the following:

· Informatica - Dynamic Parameter files generation

· Informatica - Push down optimization

· Informatica - Performance Tuning of ETL Mappings (including Session Partitioning)

· Informatica - Reusable Mapplets, Worklets and Transformations

· Teradata Data Warehouse and Utilities (BTEQ, TPT and Fast Load)

· UNIX/LINUX environments and UNIX shell scripting

· Unix shell scripts with embedded SQL

· Advanced SQL Performance Tuning in a Data Warehousing environment

· SQL analytical functions

· At least one job scheduling tool

Preferred Qualifications:

· Hands-on experience in BMC Control-M job scheduler,

· Experience on Oracle database SQL, packages, stored procedures and Oracle utilities like SQL Loader

· Hands-on experience in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)

· Hands-on experience in version controlling using Tortoise SVN

· Hands-on experience in Big Data load using SQOOP and Hive
