Newbee Question : Need some POC Idea for Hadoop Application

Hi All,

I am new to Hadoop but my question is not regarding the technology.
Its regarding what to make using it. So I want some real world POC
idea wherein an app could be made that would operate on huge amounts
of data inferring some sort of intelligent analysis that otherwise
takes a lot of time for the data analyst. So I basically want to know
the job of some data analyst(domain could be any - healthcare,
finance, etc.) wherein the analyst does some
expensive analysis work on huge amounts of data. So for this I need
two things - what kind of data that analyst operates on(just field
names would suffice. Data I can generate on my own by writing some
simple function) and what analysis is done on it(some sort of flowchart
\diagram\algo).

Anyone has any idea what I am talking about? I just need some concrete
app idea, which, once made, can be showcased in front of some manager
and you could say something like - "your analysts do this thing in 5
days. This app does it in 5 seconds and no manual errors too!".

I know some concrete areas could be Risk analysis in finance, sales
data analysis, etc. but I haven't been able to find out any concrete
data or what critical analysis do.

Can anyone help me out with this?
