Hi Everyone,

 

TRIDEXX will be holding its first swimming clinic of this season in a few weeks!  Here are the details:  

 

Date and Time:  Saturday 5/28 from 8-9am.   (This was the best time overall based on the survey results we received.  Thank you to everyone who responded)

 

Location:  Westbrook Community Center Davan indoor pool.  This will be a private rental so the entire pool will be available for our use.

 

Instructor.  Our instructor will be fellow TRIDEXXer, Andy Gilbert, who has many years of experience coaching and teaching swimming.  Andy is very excited to be helping our group, and we are very grateful to him for donating his time and experience! 

 

Format:  The clinic will be developed by Andy and customized based on the specific needs/interests of the participants.  For those who are interested in attending, we will follow up in about a week with a brief questionnaire to ask what each person wants to work on with guidance from Andy. 

 

Generally speaking the format will be aimed at beginner and intermediate level swimmers, and will include a mix of group practice and 1x1 sessions with individual feedback from Andy for each person.    Participants will leave with concepts and/or drills to focus on in on-going individual practice. 

 

Cost:  $6 per person to cover the pool rental fee.  The fee can be paid (cash only please) on the day of the clinic or provided to me in advance.

 

Size:  The clinic will be limited to 10 people so that everyone who attends will get sufficient 1x1 time with Andy.   If more than 10 are interested, we will aim to add a second session on the same day during either the hour just before or after, but whether this can happen will be dependent on pool availability and the number of additional interested people. 

 

If you are interested: Respond to this thread with "yes" or "maybe" to indicate whether you will attend.  The first 10 “yes” responses (by email to me or here on Google Groups) will be guaranteed a spot in the clinic.  Please note that due to the rental cost if you commit by responding yes we will ask you to pay the $6 fee even if you are unable to attend, unless an alternate participant is available.

We had a cancellation so there is currently one spot open for the clinic this Saturday.  

Everyone who has contacted me to attend should have received an email with some questions from Andy to help tailor the clinic to everyone's needs and interests.  Please let me know if you are planning to attend and didn't receive this.

Today's swim clinic was great!  A big thank you to Andy for the great instruction and for volunteering to share his time and experience with us!  

We'll aim to do another session soon, most likely in late June, so if you missed this one you'll have another chance to join us then!
