Gorgeous weather for a bike ride this past weekend!  I saw a few folks from IDEXX but not all.  Maybe we can get a TRIDEXX Trek team together for 2017?

Great report and thanks for sharing!  Three days away from home in unfamiliar shoes/cleats is enough to make anyone worry!  If you can conquer that you can do anything! 

I was also thinking it would be nice to get a group of TRIDEXXers together for a group Trek sometime.  I imagine I would prefer to do the Trek at a slower pace and enjoy the scenery and company, as you did.

Did you ride pretty much non-stop or take impromptu breaks along the way at interesting looking places?  I used to do a lot of cross-country motorcycle riding, and getting off bike to explore was a huge part of why I enjoyed it so much.  I am finding that road cycling is similar now that I have the endurance to go on longer rides and get to new places...

PS - I made a new forum tag called "race_reports" to make these easy to find.

Great report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So much to be entertained by in the pages and great pics.
I am not sure if I'd do the Trek, but would settle living it through your adventure

There were Trek-supported rest stops at about every 20 miles with a TON of food, snacks and Gatorade.  There were also bike repair stations at each, I had to have my rear hub and breaks looked at on one of the stops.  I stopped at every break station if anything to refill my water bottles (75% Gatorade, 25% water) and to have a snack.  I tried to eat a little something at every stop just to keep the engine running.  I usually just drink water on the bike but each day the ride alone burned between 2,100 and 2,500 calories so I mixed in Gatorade.

I took a few impromptu breaks for photos (or because I was winded from a hill).  Next year I think I will try to take more photos while on the ride.

Great report Kristen!  I would be interested in a TRIDEXX Trek team sometime.  Or we could map out our own 2-3 day adventure if the fundraising is a detractor for folks.

I would love to join in a 2017 IDEXX effort for the Trek. Happy to help organize as well.
