Anyone experiencing login failures with the new IBM CAD Integrator V12 (for platform 3.3) ? We just upgraded our environment from platform 2.7.2 to 3.3 and I have the CAD Integrator installed on my Win 7 machine with AutoCAD 2013 & jre 1.6.0.37. For some reason Im unable to login into CAD Integrator to publish drawings etc. Any ideas what I could be missing ?

Thanks,

Chuks

Its a known issue, there is a subsequent release of patch 3.3.0.1 to fix it. If you're unable to apply the patch, alternatively you can also export the following from 3.3 vanilla (as shipped) environment and import it into your upgraded environment to fix the problem:

Form:

   triCiTheme

Queries:

triCADTheme - Workflow - All Active

triGraphics - Navigation - CAD Theme Manager Query

triLabelFilter - Display - All Active Including Ci Label Filters

triLabelStyle - Display - All Active Including CI Label Styles

Workflow:

triTheme - Synchronous - onChange - Label Query Type

Record Data:

\triDefault - CAD (triGraphics.triTheme record with triCiTheme form)

If you've customized the Location Hierarchy then there are few steps to setup Hierarchy node, and mapping records. Let me know if you need help with them?

PS: Applying the patch 3.3.0.1 is recommended

Cheers,

Hello- I am interested in installing this patch into our 3.3 environment, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to upgrade to 3.3.0.1. IBM Passport Advantage? Support and downloads?

Where on IBM's many, many convoluted support and "help" pages can I simply download 3.3.0.1 and/or this patch to fix the CAD Integrator logon? I need a roadmap for this stuff!

Thanks,
Matt

We are experiencing the same issue.  We found this thread and had our SA install the patch.  We are still getting a login error.  In looking at the ci.log it is referencing a section of a form that does not match our environment. It is looking for General (Location\triBuilding\triBuilding\triGeneral\triGeneral) where ours is General (Location\triBuilding\triBuilding\triGeneral\General).

Here is the excerpt from the error log:
2013-08-01 12:41:53,145 ERROR [com.tririga.ci.login.LoginServiceImpl](pool-1-thread-4) Login failed:
com.tririga.ci.error.CiRuntimeException: com.tririga.ci.remote.shared.error.CiSharedException: Unexpected Exception [com.tririga.platform.metadata.MetadataException: No section id found with name: triGeneral.  Tab: triGeneral GUI Name: triBuilding] while handling request [GetAllApplicationDefinitionsRequest]
Next step was to try to update that mapping. So we added it to our menu, and went to the Building Mapping.  Once there we attempted to change the Special Field mapping to reflect the correct section name. The lists in the Field section of the CI Special Field form do not populate if you try to change anything (even when attempting to add a new special field mapping). I can edit the string in the section field and click Save, but that just hangs up and never does anything.

We are stuck - our upgrade is complete and we are to be done testing on Wed and our users can't log in to CI.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie

We had the same issue, but this was early this year, do I can't really remember what the log file says.

Check your units of measure.  I know this is totally unrelated, but make sure they are populated with the right values and not blank.  Save each one of them, and CI 12 should work.  At least it did on our system.

Kenny you are a life saver!  We got through the above by changing the section name in the tricispecialfield table since our form wouldn't work to update it through there.  It still wouldn't login though.  So on your suggestion we updated the UOM_Type for Area and Length and it's working now.  It even works now in the environments without the 3.3.0.1 patch that we had installation trouble with.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. You saved us a lot of headache in figuring it out and having to delay our upgrade deployment.

No problem.  I know it seems like the UOM has nothing to do with it.... it took us like FOREVER also to figure it out.  Glad I could help.  Sometimes TRIRIGA is strange isn't it??
