compound ray passing through a specific point

Hello

We want to generate a compound ray from a far redshift to a near redshift, but starting at a specific point or passing once through the center of one of the different datasets. 

As we need to create a compound ray and it does not seem possible to specify coordinates or starting point using trident.make_compound_ray or trident.LightRay, is there any way to create the compound ray and at the same time indicate coordinates as if it were a simple ray?
