Race Report Atlantic City NJ Sprint Triathlon

Had a good race. Swim was relaxed and smooth, but bay water was hot and googles fogged up which made sighting difficult, but pushed through it. 11 mile bike was a dream come true, flat and fast. Averaged 20.7 mph, good enough for 61st bike place out of 508 racers. Run was smooth steady pace from the bay to the Boardwalk with about .4 of a mile of the run on the beach in the sand, before finishing on the Boardwalk. This was quite a scenic venue to do a triathlon and well planned and very safe cordoned off roads to bike race on with super police traffic control.
There were 2 of us in 75-79 and 1 guy in 80+, so were were the 3 oldest guys in the race.
Finished 2nd in age group with 1:36:19, 1st place was 1:22. Dude ran 9 minute miles, so he was 1st on the swim by a little, 1st on the run and 2nd to me on the bike.
Still hanging in there and enjoying the competition.
