File System is just another type of storage, and the problem about it is how it grows but never gets stopped by the browser or cleared or anything.
In the case of Mega, when you click the download button, the file gets downloaded to the File System, then when it finished, it asks the user where you want to download the file, but all it does is copy the file from File system to the selected folder, the only difference is one will be stored as 00000000 and when you tell mega where you want to download the file, it will have proper name and extension. but Hash matches and all, so you can just copy the file from File System, change the name and extension and it will be the exact same thing.

Of course, Nightly recently re-added the way to see Storages in Brave which was removed by Chromium, it is located in brave://settings/cookies/detail?site=mega.nz for example, and just clearing there is the easiest way. But who knows when Stable is going to get it.

So as far as my practical experience goes
Once you hit 200,000 files on mega
it will become very slow to operate for the first time and if you delete the cookies from your browser in panic it will again start from 0.

Mega uses Local index
what i mean by that is
all files and folder structure or say Directory is stored on your browser cookies locally
this is why mega is very bad when it comes down to handling 10,00,000 files

one more thing
mega never deletes INDEX of your files and folders
so even if you in panic deletes all files and folder from your mega account
it will stay there u cant see it but through relogging and resetting cookies from your browser
it will still take hours to load properly.

I read the thread and managed to get it working like this:
I installed FolderSync on my Android device, the app lets you sync a Mega folder to a local folder. I then made the Obsidian app open the vault that was on the local folder (which is synced).
The Mega app for Android is not useful in this situation.
There are a few settings on both FolderSync and Mega (for Windows) that need attention, like:

The undecrypted file or folder is invisible to the Sync Client.Nearby the undecrypted folder, MEGA indicates, that it would be decrypted as soon as the key would became available, and this would happen, as soon as the owner of the file or folder logs in again. But this seems to be not correct. I've seen that all the users (A, B, and C) are logged in at the same time, and it still shows the entities as undecrypted.

I'm only able to reproduce the problem with a folder that has some messy history, namely sharing between multiples accounts, being edited by several accounts, changing sharing privileges, uploading files using different browsers/MEGA apps, etc.. In my case User C is not an account just an access made through a browser using the folder's link.

However, I'm not able to reproduce the problem if User A creates another folder in his MEGA Cloud's root. Therefore, I suggest doing this and, if it works well, move all the files you need in this new folder. This is more of a workaround, but I hope it helps you.

[EDIT:] I have been in touch with the MEGA's support center. They were not able to reproduce my problems, therefore had no way to help me, however one of my problems seems to be gone since the last update of the MEGA's Firefox extension (v3.20.5).

I've tried to import the shared the folder into a different account by using its exported link and decryption key, and all I found were the same undecrypted files. I've managed to redress the issue by removing the shared user of the folder and the exported folder immediately "decrypted".

One can mess with megacmd and exported resources. Make a script or app which polls from a shared pool, be it email or other cloud drives, btsync should work just as well in dealing with small data like links. The data polled will be the shared links including decryption key. When one party uploads, he exports it and places the link in the btsync app, from there it gets sent and the other parties involved just need to import it into their own drives. That's the freeware version.

As for using the SyncClient, it does not restrict multiple logins to one account, you can have it on many machines and devices and all can be logged in with one account, thus multiple accounts and shared folders are not needed.

This message is completely useless, as already mentioned by @caenrigen. Looks like nothing has changed in the last 3 years. This shared folder of mine also had kind of a messy history, so this seems to be the trouble maker.

At least the workaround works: Created a new root folder and moved everything there. Now Person A and B have full access while everyone with the sharing link can view the content. Until now, everything Person B had uploaded, was "undecrypted".

Recently, I've encountered a bunch of problems with the syncing software. One of those problems, was that it seems to have trouble syncing (or scanning?) files that haven't been synced for quite a while. I recently booted a laptop I haven't used for a month or so, and syncing with the regular gui client doesn't really work.

However when I log in with mega-cmd, I can't see this directory being set up for syncing, running mega-sync with no arguments, doesn't return any configured directories, which is odd, because I do have those configured with the gui client.

I'm under the impression, that I'd have to add this folder for syncing using the command line interface with: mega-sync /home/polemon/MEGA / or similar but as I said the documentation doesn't go into detail, and I don't want to damage my synchronization setup.

As this series continues to evolve into the unknown, this year's project remains within the realm of the experimental. Last year's project introduced some surprises based on clever interpretations of the rules that inspired the rules for this year's project...

This for me needs a better explanation: with gore i suppose you mean real life gore, like the stuff you'll see long ago in rotten . com, right? Or even, let's say, put a hanging corpse in a Doom 2 map can be considered as gore? Or draws?

Yes, just the real-life stuff. The stuff that would scar people for life (and I'm assuming isn't allowed on the forum anyway). Your spoiler would qualify as gross, yeah. If people have questions about specific things then feel free to ask in the thread.

Mark me down for a slot if that's the case, I have some wonderful ideas for a level. Also, if you don't mind me asking, by "inappropriate content" do you mean we keep it strictly out of the X-Rated section? I don't have any plans to go in that direction mind you, if anything this is just my curiosity talking.

Story? Story: Doomworld is on edge of destruction and you have been trapped in a 31 years old FPS to fight evil trolls and mutants with your badass tank in some ultra colored mazes in all their EGA palette glory, save the site admins (or maybe not... no, no, save them, they are really cool guys) and get out this nightmare.

To add to Walter's reply, the files don't even have to be related to Doom either, for example someone could submit 100 pictures of their cat from 2022 if they wanted. For "inappropriate content" I'm not sure exactly what would/wouldn't be allowed, so I'll have to go case-by-case, and people with specific examples can ask in the thread. But in general, if it's not allowed on the forum then it's not allowed in this.

Description: A spirital sequel to the wad oh that nobody asked for, also my (failed) take on that "redraw that sailor moon photogram in your style" challenge that goes around some year ago on twitter\deviantart (since i just traced the original picture on editor!), is a open cave\spirit world-like slaughter lite map with a BFG centered gameplay. Have fun!

What's the difference between the green circles and the gray circles? From the website you linked, the green circles were "DX Tropo" and the gray circles were "DX Skip," but what do those designations mean?

The green tropo circles are for channels that bounced through the troposphere. The gray skip circles are for channels that bounced back from the ionosphere. Skip only affects channels 2-6 and results in much longer distances. There's more info here, but I didn't think anyone would care :) _and_FM_DX

Description: Original Doom version of the map i made for the shovelware megawad community project, is a homage to raw maps from shovelware CDs and the 1994 mapping era, in the end it comes out a parody of that wild times. Also it's a some sort of tribute to Doom Construction Kit maps, at least in the texture department. Be careful because this map is broken beyond any imagination lol

I am using Chrome to download folders full of files. The downloads complete but my PC does not have AppData directory in the User folder so the below path is obviously incorrect. The files are also NOT in the downloads directory even though Chrome is set to direct all downloads there.

The reason I'm using MEGA is because I have configured my programs to use MEGA folder instead of AppData (with Symbolic Links) and with that I can continue my work on my other PC without changing anything but some Applications have temporary files and I do not want to be uploading the Temporary Files, Just the options and that's enough.

The other option is just don't put the stuff you don't want to sync in the path of your online cloud service.. You have say c:\mega sync, if you don't want stuff to sync - why would you put it under c:\mega?
