I have these two teen Sims who were dating had full friendship and romance bars. But I decided they should break up (mischief->break up). The romance bar turned red but they were still best friends. Now i want to get them back together but nothing I do seems to work! I have tried being really good friends, apologising, repeating romantic intereactions endlessly but all end in embaressment if nothing else. What can I do? x :heart:

The two teens live in different houses so when they interact I can only control one at a time. Everything I try doesn't change the romance bar-its still full and red. If one asks the other to go on a date they will accept but they deny any romantic interactions.
I do realise this question was submitted a while ago but I am going to answer it incase people are looking for the answer and come onto this page. It is pretty much impossible (or so i thought) they will just keep fighting, you need a miracle, the romance festival. have your sims be friends again before the romance festival then go together and drink the special cherry blossom tea together (this enhances chance of romance) then click on your ex and select the "joke about getting together" option then from there on click any romantic option you like and it will work without them fighting, the date will go so well it might even end in a proposal. mine did anyway. My sims were very close while dating but I caught him cheating.. meanwhile I did Regret it because it was sims after all and It was a sim already in a game so I didnt want to take it to seriously so meanwhile this really helped because Their friend bar Is all green so their officially letting eachother flirt without being awkward))) ... their now graduating together with a baby on the way
What you can do, is making sure both of them are on a good mood. The best way to get the romance going, is giving the other sim a romantic gift. Sims tend to like most gifts, so just buy something from the gift catalog on your phone (books tend to go over well) and giving it first before trying any romantic interactions. Romantic gifts, if successful, make both of the sims gain the "Flirty" moodlet, and flirting is ten times easier if both sims are flirty. There's also a kind of scoring system when it comes to the interactions, so you want to do low level flirty interactions first. Things like "Flirt" and "Blow a Kiss" are low level, while "Ask Risque question" is quite high level, meaning you shouldn't mess with it if both sims aren't very flirty. Then there's the conversation tone, the best one for flirty interactions is "amorous conversation", and the best help for this is again, romantic gift. I'm 90% sure a successful romantic gift turns the conversation immediatelly into an amorous one. It makes flirty interactions more successfull.
Start with minor romance tasks like @Marinuttonen mentioned. Only Flirt at first. MAYBE compliment looks... nothing more than that for a while. It helps to have friendship up high. If friendship is low, then forget romance. Work on getting friendship up first.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I go to the split household screen I move Emmanuel to my household's side of the screen and when I press the check mark it doesn't do anything except grey out the check mark and the X button so I can't cancel the slit household screen and I can't make the changes I want to.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? I don't think so. I haven't had anyone join my household since the 2 people I've already added a while ago.
@Predisposition This is a reported bug if you try to merge households through game play. The work around is to go to map view and use the manage households option. Here's a link to the bug report, I recommend adding a Me Too to the report.
My experience: My sim was living as a tenant in a rental, moved potential love interest into adjacent rental unit, advanced friendship and romance, asked him to move in with me. Moving him into my unit had the check and X on the move household window greyed out. Moving me into his unit had the check and X active, but after doing so we swapped units, with all money (his and mine) staying with my sim. The move was done on Love Day, and Love Day also failed for me, after we had a successful date before the move.
this has been consistently happening in my game since the first of the two updates we got most recently. i cant get the add/merge households dialogue to show up at all. the sims just go into lagging and staring into space for about an in-game hour or two, and then my sims move on to a different action autonomously like it never happened. I opted to shift click and add to household to continue what i was working on, but after adding the sim via cheats, if i try to enter CAS or save the game, it will freeze, the audio starts looping really fast, and then crash to my desktop. i play on a gaming laptop (Windows 11).
Sadly having the same issue today, sims cannot move in with others. I am trying to do legacy challenge so you can see why this is frustrating. I have tried repairing the game, reinstalling it and even restarting households but to no avail. I have for rent and it may be a bug but I am playing in chestnut ridge so I am not too sure what to do in the meantime
So I have been trying to get my sims to cook together for the past couple of days, but every time that I send them to do it, they just stand where they were and do nothing. I have tried speeding up the time to see if they'll eventually start cooking but they'll just stand there for hours. If anyone can help I would be very grateful!
@Sims104005 , i had this happen in the first house I played after the patch. It was a house that I didn't make and the refrigerator was and some of the counters were placed with the Move Objects On (MOO) cheat, which can make items glitchy if the house wasn't tested properly afterwards. I had to move some things around to get my Sims to cook together in this house. What was weird was that there wasn't a problem if just one Sim was cooking -- it only showed up when multiple Sims cooked together. But I finally got my kitchen to work so that a group could cook at the same time!
I don't know if this is the same problem you encountered, but it might be. Have you tried to test group cooking in another house?
I have indeed! It worked slightly better! They actually cooked after just standing there for a bit! I will try moving things around. I'm going to go to bed now but I will let you know if it works! Thank you so much!
@Sims104005 I played an EA Maxis built house and had no problems with everyone cooking together! It was with the other house I downloaded some time ago that had a problem and they had used the MOO cheat!
I'm playing with a house I built myself. I did use MOO but not on anything in the kitchen. I will move things around tomorrow and maybe test it out in other houses as well and I will let you know if it works!

The Sims community has created a serious mod to bring multiplayer to The Sims 4. The Sims 4 Multiplayer mod is designed to let you play with other people in real-time on a local network. The mod basically uses one PC as a server, which allows up to 12 players to join the same game.

Does anybody have experience of using a Smarty SIM in the same phone as an esim. I have a Galaxy S23 ultra with an esim rather than a physical EE SIM. When I try to activate my new Smarty SIM the phone tells me that it will deactivate my EE esim which I don't want as I want to use the 2 Sims together which it seems the phone is able to do, just not it send with a Smarty SIM.
Thanks again. I decided to try again. Turned off the phone, put the Smarty SIM in and it worked without wanting to deactivate my esim. I can only think that previously the SIM wasn't activated. I was using it in an old Galaxy phone until I could sort it and therefore had to activate it. When I tried again in my S23 the SIM is now activated and worked. That is the only explanation I can think of for it now working at the second attempt without issue. Thanks again for your help
