Thepeople and equipment at Allegheny Shredders are the best in the business! We have bought several different shredders from them and have never been disappointed. We run our equipment hard. On the rare occasions we have had a machine go down that we could not easily fix, their service crew was extremely responsive. Allegheny machines are durable, well-built and the best equipment for any shredding application!

The most caring company I have ever known, that always has its customers best interests first. Always striving to do more and constantly innovating new systems and equipment for the secure destruction industry. Has earned my loyalty for over the past thirty years. Treats every customer like family. A tradition passed down by its founder and practiced by all. You want to do business with Allegheny.

An in-house shredding program based around Destroyit High Capacity shredders is the most secure and cost effective way of disposing large quantities of sensitive documents. When you hand over documents to an outside service, you relinquish control of your data security. Shred services are also a never-ending expense which will only increase over time.

When your document destruction requirements demand the perfect combination of high sheet capacity, volume and speed, look no further than the Centralized Office line. These heavy duty machines are designed to efficiently shred large amounts of material daily.

Effective document security is right by your side with Destroyit Deskside model shredders. These robust machines are engineered to thrive in fast paced corporate environments. 3 models and a variety of shred sizes allow you to choose the perfect shredder for your needs.

Designed with strength, durability and serviceability in mind, our shredders can handle almost any material in any application. With a huge range of both rapid volume reduction and intricate piece sizing solutions available, our shredders can be employed as either a primary or secondary shredder and can be seen working anywhere from waste management companies to biofuel producers.

With the recycling industry ever changing and adapting to new regulations and stringent requirements placed on MRFs, adaptability is key. Whether it is processing C&D waste, utility poles or domestic household waste, the range of shredders from EDGE can be customised to provide the right tonnage at the desired piece size.

Invest in a shredder for data protection. While laptops are a common risk factor, neglecting to securely dispose of printed documents containing confidential information can also lead to data breaches. Keep in mind, privacy regulations govern both electronic and paper data. Safeguard your organization from fines and legal issues arising from non-compliance by managing personal data with care.

Determine where the shredder will be located, office or home, and estimate the number of users. This assists in identifying the appropriate security level required. Additionally, evaluate the necessary features to ensure efficient and effective data protection.

Shredders are rated by security levels P-1 to P-7 based on the size of shredded paper particles. They are categorized into strip cut (P-1, P-2), cross cut (P-3, P-4), and micro cut (P-5 to P-7), with higher levels offering finer cuts and increased security. For safely disposing of sensitive documents, a minimum of a P-3 level shredder is recommended. Cross cut and micro cut shredders provide better security by creating smaller particles, making reassembly of shredded documents more challenging.

Choose between manual-feed shredders for small batch shredding or auto-feed models for larger volumes. Auto-feed shredders let you load a tray or compartment with a batch of papers, shredding them without further assistance, saving you time. Opt for an auto-feed shredder with a security PIN lock feature for added safety, allowing you to step away even during large shredding tasks. Manual shredders, while requiring more hands-on operation, work well for smaller, more manageable jobs.

One of the primary motivations for buying a shredder is data protection. Although laptops are the biggest source of exposure, data breaches can also occur from the careless disposal of printed paper containing confidential information. Worth noting is that privacy regulations relate to electronic data as well as paper-based data, so it is important that organizations handle personal data carefully to avoid fines and legal action due to non-compliance.

A: Shredders are used at home to shred all personal, financial and confidential documents. While there are numerous similarities across shredders, the details matter. Evaluating the needs of your home will determine if you need a P-4 or P-5 shredder, an auto or a manual feed, or a 200- or 800-sheet capacity bin, for instance.

A: Organizations continue to modernize their recordkeeping practices, not only by digitizing some, if not all, company records, but also by shredding many others. A commercial paper shredder is essential in this context. It can reliably dispose of any unneeded and/or sensitive documents, paper clips and all, plus it may destroy common in-office items such as posters, credit cards, and optical media (CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs), too.

What makes for a standout commercial shredder? For starters, it will be much more powerful than a consumer-grade shredder, with the ability to tear through a large number of documents in a relatively short amount of time and render them completely unreconstructable. It may also contain differentiating features such as large sheet and bin capacities, anti-jam systems, and security PINs.

Other models like the A6000 can also thoroughly shred much more than standard A4 office paper containing staples or paperclips. They can also take care of junk mail, credit cards, glossy documents, and optical discs. Everything gets turned into 5/32" X 1 37/64" particles, as per its P-4 rating.

A: Kensington is a division of ACCO Brands, Inc. with over three decades of being a profitable business. Kensington is a worldwide leader in physical security locks having sold over 30 million locks over the last 25 years. Data protection including Shredders is just an extension of its already thriving business of device security, privacy screens, biometric security and more. When you think about data protection think about Kensington as your first line of defense.

M&J waste shredders often have to deal with extremely tough operating conditions. Even the sturdiest units therefore have to be maintained and serviced properly to make sure they perform at maximum efficiency.

Our industrial waste shredders handles a wide range of waste types such as Household, Commercial an Industrial, Construction and Demolition, Plastic, Paper and Cardboard and Bulky Waste - bring it on and we shred it!

M&J industrial waste shredders can be used in a wide range of applications and handles even the toughest waste. You can install our shredders in custom installations such as, cement production, materials recovery, waste-to-fuel and waste-to-energy installations.

Commercial and industrial (C&I) waste is an important source of raw materials for producing solid waste fuels such as residue-derived fuel (RDF) and solid recovered fuel (SRF). A far more environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels.

Paper and cardboard are typically separated from one another early in the recycling process, after which they continue their individual journeys. Efficient pre-shredding makes it much easier to screen and separate the two from each other.

Bulky waste such as furniture, televisions, kitchen appliances, washing machines or bathroom fittings might be too large to be recycled conventionally, but they are far too valuable to be left unutilized.

Recycling green waste, wood, tyres, hazardous waste, electronic waste (WEEE), glass or other waste types is far more profitable if the waste is processed and the materials screened and sorted efficiently.

Waste shredders are machines utilized in recycling and waste processing applications. They can reduce various waste materials that differ in dimensions, sort, weight and composition to uniform shape and size for more efficient processing, storing and transportation. Waste shredders are available as stationary and mobile versions.

All applications are different, but the goal is the same: we want to ensure that your industrial shredder adds value to your operation. A WEIMA shredder makes it easier to transport, clean, sort, and/or reuse materials.

WEIMA offers you everything from one source: planning, construction, machine, switch cabinet, control, software, conveyor technology, support, wear and spare parts. We make all this and much more possible through 40 years of recycling know-how.

In most cases, single-shaft shredders are equipped with an electromechanical drive. The power is transmitted by means of a norm motor, the specially developed WEIMA WAP gear and a power belt. The speed is adjustable.

Hydraulic drives from Hgglunds / Bosch Rexroth have no gearbox and are therefore particularly insensitive to many impurities. Speed and torque can be adjusted without current peaks. The robust drive provides high torque at low kW power. The speed can be variably adjusted by means of a regulating pump.

Rotor and cutting technology: The optimum coordination of rotor, knives and counter knives is crucial for the shredding result. The selection of the components suitable for the material requires a high degree of experience.

No two applications are the same. But one thing remains: The rotor is the heart of a shredder. It is fitted with cutting knives and rotates between 30 and 400 revolutions per minute, depending on the material and machine.
