I know many here dislike the futuristic setting, but Anno 2070 used the setting to introducing us to interesting new game mechanics (eco and energy balance), a well balanced combat system (air, surface, subsurface) and a world packed with details and stories.
If you haven't played Anno 2070 in a while, if you need a short (or a long) break from Anno 1800 or even if you have never played Anno 2070 at all: I recommend that you take this annoversary as a reason to dust off Anno 2070, start a new game, play the campaign, complete the world event (yes there are still changing world events) or my favorite: speedrun a scenario.
Anno 2070 has a very small speedrunning scene, but in my opinion there is a lot of potential. The game has 10 scenarios. Many of those can be completed in under 30min. Some have no submitted runs at all. If you are interested, visit us at here.
There are a few options that you have if you want exact numbers that have been pulled from the game for optimum efficiency. Obviously, various factors such as your personal layout for the areas, travel time for goods on the roads, etc. will affect your chain.
It would be too unwieldy to replicate the data here, but the Production Chain article on the Anno 2070 wiki let's you easily see how much of each building you need to use. However, because this is a fan-run wiki, the information is not yet complete.
weird. and play Anno 2070 on Uplay is not obtained. Requests to add a key in the game. but when you enter this writing already used. although the game in this library by key added.

I'm running Deepin Linux 12.06 64bit (same as Ubuntu 12.04). I purchased and installed Anno 2070 from Steam. Steam is installed in clean Wine bottle and Wine is version 1.5.15 (CrossOver version is 12.1.0).
Now restart Steam and click Play Anno 2070. Now Anno Autopatcher will open and you may see error message about version.txt, just ignore it and press enter. (If you don't see any error messages you will see Play button...click it ;) ) Now Uplay will open (in my computer this takes about 2min for some reason, just be patient) and perform self-update. When update is finished you can login with your Uplay account or you can create new one. When Uplay starts first time your friends list will be blocking the view, restart Uplay and friends list should disappear. Now just click Play button and Anno should start loading (this also takes looong time).
This is how I got Anno 2070 to work in Arch Linux x86_64 after Uplay update probably broke something. I don't know does this work in Mac OSx or not. If the game fails to launch please paste Debug log to your post. (In crossover Run Command -> Anno5.exe -> and check "Create log file" under Debug Options)

Ubisoft recently announced it would pull the plug on a number of its older games, stopping online and multiplayer support. Titles affected by this move include Anno 2070, Far Cry 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and Assassin's Creed 2.
The team behind the city-building and economic simulation game will now "dedicate some of [its] development resources to work on upgrading Anno 2070's aged online services infrastructure to a new system".

When you are playing Anno 2070 you might need to forward some ports in your router. Forwarding ports is a useful trick in gaming because it can really help to make your network connection most stable and on occasion even faster. Routers were not designed to allow incoming network requests and some games can play tremendously better if an incoming connection is forwarded through the router to the game.
- Introduce the number of houses in your city, select the max inhabitants level (worker, employee, etc.) and choose if you have activated the option to increase the inhabitants per house and press "Calculate workers!".
- There is an option in one senate votation to increase the improvement from Engineers to Executives in +5%, so if you build your city in that interval maybe you'd like to use the "Senate bonus" option, instead of putting manually the number of inhabitants you have. Anyway, if the calculations are different from your real city, introduce manually the data because with all this options the discrepancies can't calculate.
Anno 2070 is a real-time management sim that tasks you with creating the biggest and happiest empire you can in a future where resources are scarce as a result of climate change. It's a shift from the historical foundations of the previous games in the series in favour of something socially-minded and forward-looking.
It's a fair question. Anno 2070 squanders the topicality of its subject matter with factions that are cartoonishly good and evil. Eden Initiative workers are soft-spoken and demand only tea, vegetables and a concert hall. Global Trust, meanwhile, fill their workers with booze, fast food, casinos and aspirational TV programmes. It's Eco-Jesus going up against Scrooge McDuck in Ayn Rand cosplay.
You're lead by the hand almost all of the way, as the game (very slowly) imparts the techniques you'll need to succeed. There's a story, but it's a bit of a non-starter and Anno 2070's voice-acting can't carry it.
The single mission and free play modes are much more successful. At its heart, Anno 2070 is a game of creative engineering: building a big, interconnected machine that looks like a city but purrs like an engine. You're free to problem-solve as you see fit, answering demand for resources with trade, research and expansion. You're also constantly being given additional objectives ranging, such as headhunting a certain number of employees.
Playable and polished, Anno 2070 is a steady improvement on what has come before. If anything, it plays things too safe, with innovations like online elections and undersea bases making little impact. Worth your time, but lacking the resources to become a management great.
