In theory this product works well with Citrix. However, we often find that minor issues needs to be solved in some installation. This is often caused by the many different ways to configure and run a Citrix environment. Often, functionality is blocked by very strict security policies.

Sometimes you will see an error 1007 when running the printer. This indicates that there were problems running the conversion from Postscript to PDF. The conversion is done by Ghostscript in most installation. If the users for some reason are missing the rights to run the Ghostscript executables then this error can occur. You should check your security around your Ghostscript installation and fix any issues before you proceed.

This error is usually caused by the printer spooler system failing to restart itself due to the Citrix Print Manager service being unresponsive. The problem can be illustrated by opening a command prompt and typing the following two commands:

I am trying to print a 60 page file to PDF, however, I get the error message Error 1007: An error occured while running Ghostscript - with a heap of other bits and pieces, but this seems to be the primary error message. I have printed using Bullzip many times in the past, no idea why I can't print now

Some customers have managed to get the printer working again by manually installing the required Ghostscript Lite component via the GSLite Installers provided on our website. Also, they had to uncheck the option to install "Ghostscript Lite" with the 7-PDF Printer setup/installer.

Sometimes the above error 1007 appears when running the pdf printer. This indicates that there were problems converting Postscript to PDF. The conversion is probably done by Ghostscript in most installations of our PDF printer. If for some reason the user lacks the rights to run the Ghostscript executables, this error can occur. You should check your rights/security regarding your Ghostscript installation and fix any issues before proceeding. Installing the workaround gslite.exe listed above manually and not via the optional installation via the PDF printer setup seems to be the easiest and fastest way to solve the problem in these cases.

If all of these measures are unsuccessful, there may simply be a faulty configuration that causes a Ghostscript to PDF command to fail during processing or execution. For example, if you specify a PDF background in the configuration, but the path to the background PDF does not exist or was incorrectly stored in the configuration. Therefore, also check your selected configuration settings. Also check whether your AV software restrictively refuses to run programs such as Ghostscript.

In sehr seltenen Fllen erhalten Anwender beim Erzeugen eines PDF Dokuments ber unseren PDF Drucker eine Fehlermeldung mit der folgenden Meldung: Error 1007: An error occured while running Ghostscript.

Manche Kunden haben es geschafft, den PDF Drucker wieder zum Laufen zu bringen, indem sie die bentigte Komponente Ghostscript Lite ber den auf unserer Website zur Verfgung gestellten GSLite Installers manuell installiert haben. Auerdem mussten sie die Option, "Ghostscript Lite" mit dem Setup / Installationsprogramm von 7-PDF Printer zu installieren, deaktivieren.

Manchmal wird beim Ausfhren des Druckers oben genannter Fehler 1007 angezeigt. Dies weist darauf hin, dass Probleme bei der Konvertierung von Postscript nach PDF aufgetreten sind. Die Konvertierung wird, in den meisten Installationen unseres PDF Druckers wohl von Ghostscript durchgefhrt. Wenn dem Benutzern aus irgendeinem Grund die Rechte zum Ausfhren der ausfhrbaren Ghostscript Executables fehlen, kann dieser Fehler auftreten. Sie sollten ihre Rechte/Sicherheit in Bezug auf ihre Ghostscript-Installation berprfen und alle Probleme beheben, bevor sie fortfahren. Der oben aufgefhrte Workaround gslite.exe manuell zu installieren und nicht ber die optionale Installation ber das Setup des PDF Druckers, scheint in diesen Fllen der einfachste und schnellste Weg zu sein das Problem zu lsen.

Fhren all diese Manahmen nicht zum Erfolg kann auch schlicht und ergreifend eine fehlerhafte Konfiguration vorliegen, die dazu fhrt das ein Ghostscript zu PDF Befehl bei der Verarbeitung bzw. bei der Ausfhrung scheitert. Beispielsweise dann, wenn sie einen PDF Hintergrund in der Konfiguration festlegen, aber der Pfad zum Hintergrund PDF nicht existiert oder falsch in der Konfiguration hinterlegt wurde. Prfen sie daher auch ihre gewhlten Konfigurationseinstellungen. Prfen sie zudem ob ihre AV Software ggf. restriktiv Ausfhrungen von Programmen wie Ghostscript verweigert.

So I had this problem for awhile and tried many of the solutions posted above but they just didn't work for me (as written) but I was able to mix and match them to come up with this solution. I am using an HP Deskjet 3520.

And now, finally, magically, I can print. On previous versions of Ubuntu I just plugged in the printer over USB and was up and running. Something has changed. Thank you to all who contributed to the solution in this thread.

I had same issue with a Brother printer. I uninstalled cups and reinstalled but it didn't solve the problem. Next, I uninstalled the printer using the printer settings GUI. I then added a new printer and it automatically found the driver and loaded. It works perfectly now. So I'd recommend just trying to remove it and reinstall the printer first using the GUI before doing anything in the terminal if you are not super techy, like me.

Interesting question actually and quite by accident I found how to fix it. I have two computers, both experienced this problem after updating to 20.04 Kubuntu. The fix is easy and works every time. If you've only just installed the system, delete it and reinstall. This time do not select connect to the internet via wireless. Either plug in an ethernet cable or install without updates,both methods work.

I know its going to be annoying to do this if you've spent an entire weekend tweeking the system. But if you've only just put it on and its still the basic interface it only takes twenty minutes or so to reinstall this method is simple and it works. I've done it on 4 computers now

After I pressed the button, the printer printed off some not-so-helpful help pages. I then noticed the rest of the options appeared ( print, scan, print test page, align, and wifi setup using usb ), previously i was not able to see them.

I went from uninstalling ippusbxd, uninstalling hplip, my printer worked for a while, then for some reasons it broke down yet again. So many trials and errors with different approaches, finally, I came into this app by chance. It just worked right away, without much effort.

Certains clients ont russi faire fonctionner nouveau l'imprimante en installant manuellement le composant Ghostscript Lite requis via les programmes d'installation GSLite fournis sur notre site Web. De plus, ils devaient dcocher l'option d'installation de "Ghostscript Lite" avec le programme d'installation/installation de l'imprimante 7-PDF.

Parfois, l'erreur 1007 ci-dessus apparat lors de l'excution de l'imprimante PDF. Cela indique qu'il y a eu des problmes lors de la conversion de Postscript en PDF. Si toutes ces mesures chouent, il peut s'agir simplement d'une configuration dfectueuse qui entrane l'chec d'une commande Ghostscript vers PDF lors du traitement ou de l'excution. Par exemple, si vous spcifiez un arrire-plan PDF dans la configuration, mais que le chemin d'accs au PDF d'arrire-plan n'existe pas ou n'a pas t stock correctement dans la configuration. Par consquent, vrifiez galement les paramtres de configuration slectionns. Vrifiez galement si votre logiciel AV refuse de manire restrictive d'excuter des programmes tels que Ghostscript.
