Here's a recap of my upper level classes at the A MAGI Temple this and next week.
As I will be performing in Savannah GA tomorrow (Saturday), I will not be teaching the regularly scheduled 11:45am-12:45pm Intermediate Finger Cymbal/Dance Combos Drills & Thrills class this week or next: I'll be in NYC the following Saturday (4/9) doing my 'research' with the United Arts grant money. So, that class will continue on 4/16. Sorry for any inconvenience. $12/class or $100/10-class card or monthly fees
I'm so excited about returning to study in NYC with my mentors & stellar artists! When I come back, I'll be working on new choreography!!
Mondays 7:45pm Masters Belly Dance Class/Pro-A MAGI Troupe including our musicians, JoHanna (Flute) & Beth (Violin) these ladies ROCK!! $15/class or $125/10-class card. (We will also be doing a fire performance class during 1 of these Mondays - let me know if interested)
We will be having our regularly scheduled Thursdays 6pm Level II Intermediate classes (r Cane Maqsoum, Hizzi dance, drum, beledi choreographies) $12/class or $100/10-class card If you are in both Monday 7:45pm & Thursday 6pm classes, you can use your 10-class card at $100 price (or monthly fees $36: 4-classes/month; $68: 8-classes/month. What a DEAL!!
No 7pm Level I Intermediate Thursday class until further notice.
However, In the 2nd half of April & into May, I'll be teaching "Be the STAR!: Professional Development Class for the Professional &/or aspiring Professional Dancer on how to develop your stage persona, how to develop a dance show & be an entertainer, costuming/make-up, the business of show biz, ethics & the "politics of dancing" during that Thursday 7pm time slot. More info soon. If interested, please let me know.
Afro-Brazilian Samba dance class will resume on Wednesdays 6pm April 20 (also for upcoming shows). You may know that I was in a professional Boston Samba company as a native of that area directed by Brazil's Roberto Gadbem. $12/class or $100/10-class card or montly fees. Please let me know if you will be attending.
TEACHER CERTIFICATION CLASS in the A MAGI Method will be held on a Saturday afternoon.

Kaeshi of NYC's Bellyqueen/Pure workshop/show has been postponed as we learned she's booked in Miami in September & in Orlando again in November. We will keep you posted when we will sponsor her, but due to her many appearances in FL this year, we feel our events will suffer. Egyptian dancer/choreographer Mohamed Shahin will be scheduled soon to come to Orlando to teach workshops & show. Will let you know the schedule once it's finalized. |
