Hiya Gang,

Probably a well trodden topic however, just wondering if there are any known bugs or issues on this one before I start some more testing:

I tried this:

With our custom made ttf font called for the last runtime we made here.

The result I was getting was not as documented on XP, Vista + OSX. The font required installing (by standard double click on font, install etc... on both mac and windows) on the host computer before it would appear in the runtime as desired. Simply placing the font in the prescribed folders did not seem to work.

This is contrary to the statement from the v4.5 feature list statement on the site:

"You can include any font in your iShell title, so long as you own the rights to distribute it electronically.
To include a font, copy the .ttf file into the folder /iShell 4.5/Modules/Fonts. When the title is burned onto a CD-Rom or DVD-Rom, the font will be included and accessed by iShell. No installation is necessary for the end user.
For an example of the Text element's handling of fonts, see Text (Element)#Example: Formatting HTML."
Any thoughts? War stories? Random doses of sympathy even?

Warm regards,

Anthony.

Anthony,

It's a while since I worked on this and can't remember why I did it this way, but I put my special fonts in as many places as I could think of, and eventually they found their way into the program :o)  What seems to be the most suitable place (on my Mac) is this :
"Applications > iShell 4.5r7 > Burn Resources > Applications > modules > Fonts >"  The "Burn Resources" seems to be the main difference to the advice on the Wiki.

Hth.

Denis

To get the font to the burn, it needs to be in the burn resources... or if you are doing a custom build, put it in the fonts folder. Did that work for you?
