Zamir’s update:

link people’s offerings and gifts, level of commitment to knowledge
community, Sobey workshop was called ”intention and community resilancy’
on community strengths.
*Tribal Convergence; spoke with Jamaica (in context with IILG in Lillooet, possibly advisory
board, ref to a letter written by Sobey to them, plans to be in council on the land in Lillooet)
in context of rainbow tribe and possible shared time/location/collaboration?
Entheos Conference how it will build on this too? other festivals?
*Evolver Spore Jan 28 at Submerged Studios with Jonathan, one of
the founders of Evolver. this will be an event to have a call out to the
community. ‘Fresh Coast’, prescient in current underground culture. It
is also a panel that looks at the potential visions of things to
happen in 2012. there will be panel discussion on How our community
envisions 2012.
2012 Spore Themes
January: The Unified Field
February: 2012
March: Intentional Communities (Getting Back Together)
April: The Mystery of Dreams
May: Transforming Politics
June: Psychedelic Renaissance
July: Consciousness & Climate Change
August: Day of Action (Optional)
September: Thought for Food
October: Synchronicity/Magic
November: The Healing Journey
*Fragmentation: how can we avoid all us working on the same
thing? Much of what Tribal Convergence is organizing for a west coast
tribal coalltion is a model of what our group needs to do locally. the
Summit of Visionaries Zamir wants to organizes addresses this need.
-we
are indeed fragmented, but how are we related? Branding becomes
neccessary to connect or bridge these groups. How do we get around this?
The Umbrella Arts concept unifies the various groups, we need a nexus
where the spokes attach. A need for a physical space can be an
antidote.
*Garth is a possible bridge to the business sector. as is Elias. He invited us to an upcoming workshop:
-
I’m
wondering if you, Jeet K, or Suresh might like to attend this workshop
with me on the 28th with regard to developing the plan for the tribal
harmonix community space. I would like to attend partly for my own
reasons, as I work closely with Enterprising Non-Profits and want to
experience the workshop they offer, but it would be more interesting for
me to attend with a real enterprise to work on. The cost is low ($90),
something THX can certainly afford to invest in if it advances the
plans for a community space. Completing the workshop also opens the
door to apply for further technical assistance grants for business
planning, feasibility studies, and other good stuff. Let me know if
you’re interested and I can sign us up.

roll call for attending: Mimi, Sobey?,
as many of us that can attend the better.
To be discussed with input from more of the community:
if an umbrella arts community is created and building procured:
what does the intention centre have to do with it?
what happens to the intention community?
what happens when underground arts communities are ‘daylighted’?
is this a time of emerging or a time of staying underground?
Thank all for your love, devotion, and commitment to community.
