I built this set of paddles, and then found out the Olympics wasn't
offering "ugly homebrewed junk" as an event this year. :-) They
actually work pretty well.

Speaking of which - I was in the University Medical School the other
day (I'm taking part in a genetic heart study) and some of the pieces
of equipment being used were housed in .25" plywood knocked together
like I used to do (with vacuum toobs rather than transistors or chips)
- ahhh - workbench technology - wonnerful, so it be !

"You've deaded me, you rotten swine!" :-> That's a good reference,
Mudge--that mousetrap paddle looks like one of Bluebottle's cardboard-
and-string contraptions, doesn't it? :-)

Some jerk talked me into buying his QRP rig (hi, K4WGE!) and I'm not
working many stations at 2.5watts out in my yard. But the ones I DO
manage to work, the paddles work pretty well, despite being ugly and
improvised. :-)
