CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Hannah Freeman, one of the suspects connected to the
184 vehicle break-ins in Charlotte earlier this month, has been arrested
and faces more than 240 charges.

She was put into custody on Tuesday, December 26th at approximately 9:51
p.m.

Freeman faces 249 total charges from her role in the vehicle break-ins,
including larceny, breaking and entering and conspiracy.

On December 20th, police identified Freeman, 19, as a suspect wanted in
connection to this case. Police attempted to serve an outstanding
warrant against her before she fled and eluded arrest at a high rate of
speed in a stolen motor vehicle.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have arrested and charged a male juvenile in
relation to 184 vehicle break-ins in Charlotte across the past week. Two
additional suspects are wanted in connection to this case.

Police say the male juvenile suspect was accompanied by his mother when
he voluntarily turned himself in on Tuesday, December 19th. He was
charged with auto-theft, breaking into a motor vehicle, larceny after
breaking into a motor vehicle and conspiracy.

Police initially responded to a call regarding larceny of a motor
vehicle off Sharon Road near SouthPark Mall on Thursday, December 14th
at approximately 1:30 a.m. Police say they spotted multiple vehicles
broken into with items stolen upon arrival.

Following the initial call, officers were alerted to larceny of a motor
vehicle at six separate locations later that same day. In total, 84
vehicles were broken into on Thursday, December 14th.

Below are the number of vehicles broken into per location:

4400 Sharon Road – 5 vehicles
800 Cherokee Road – 26 vehicles
4300 Sharon Road – 18 vehicles
2410 Roswell Avenue – 17 vehicles
4870 Cameron Valley Parkway – 2 vehicles
1530 Queens Road – 9 vehicles
2100 Queens Road West – 7 vehicles
In addition to the 84 break-ins, detectives say the suspects broke into
an additional 100 vehicles on Kenilworth Avenue near East Boulevard in
the early morning hours on Monday, December 18th.

Below are the number of vehicles broken into per location:

1525 Kenilworth Avenue – 92 vehicles
1010 Kenilworth Avenue – 8 vehicles
As a result of the investigation, detectives identified one wanted
suspect and attempted to serve outstanding warrants against her.
However, police say she fled and eluded arrest at a high rate of speed
in a motor vehicle.

Hannah Jayna Freeman, 19, will face over 100 criminal violations in
connection to this case, according to police.

This case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Police say
additional charges are pending.
