WCNC Charlotte is working to confirm if police are still searching for the
third suspect involved, who has not previously been publicly identified.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A second suspect has been taken into custody after a
string of car break-ins across south Charlotte.

Hannah Freeman, 19, was taken into custody on Dec. 26. She faces 249
charges related the break-ins.

A juvenile, who has not been named due to his age, was taken into custody
last week. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said that juvenile
turned himself in, accompanied by his mother, and was charged with auto
theft, breaking into a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking into a motor
vehicle, and conspiracy. CMPD said detectives originally attempted to
obtain a secure custody order for him due to his criminal history, but he
was released into the custody of his mother based on guidance from the
Department of Juvenile Justice. CMPD detectives later obtained a secure
custody order, and he was taken back into custody.

18. Investigators said the suspects were involved in 184 car break-ins on
