Pretty good considering that it was Valentines and most restaurants
are a bit overwhelmed. I made my reservations online and was pleased
that the restaurant called me the day before to confirm and to ask if
I knew they had a prix fixe menu at $50 pp. Which I did not. Very
appreciated and not a problem for the wife or me but I was also
bringing our younger daughter. I asked and the restaurant was able to
accommodate my daughter. Kudos! Service was pretty good but not as
good as other fine dining in Raleigh, perhaps due to the day. My wife
had the lamb and my daughter pasta and they both very much enjoyed
their meals. My steak was overcooked but I will admit I did not
provide them the opportunity to correct the error. Excellent wine
list.

Posta Tuscan Grille was delicious! We ate as a group before a theater
production and had the benefit of great food, attentive service and
walking across the street afterward. A perfect location, a great menu
and well-executed food.

I wanted this to work so bad because of the proximity to the Progress
Energy Center. I had even read several reviews saying that the food
was bad, but I ignored them. Unfortunately, it's true. The food was
very bad (esp at the Valentine's Day cost of $50 per guest).
Everything was way oversalted, the portion sizes were offensively
small (even for upscale), and the food tasted cheap. The olive oil was
a highlighter toxic yellow color and the rolls were so yeasty that we
couldn't eat them. I left with a bad taste in my mouth (literally). It
wasn't just not good. It was bad. The service, on the other hand was
very good. Good service, great location, bad food.

Last night my wife and I went to Posta Tuscan Grille for Valentine's
Dinner. My wife had the filet and I had the lamb. They were excellent.
The evening was marred by the pitiful service we received. Our waiter
took our order and forgot how my wife wanted her steak cooked and had
to come back and ask again. When my wife ordered coffee, he did not
bring or volunteer cream or sugar. We noticed that all the tables
around us were brought bread. He never offered. When he brought out
the dessert, he brought a different one than I had ordered. When I
told him, he pulled out a piece of paper as if to confirm I was wrong.
This was insulting and unprofessional, especially since he had
forgotten how my wife wanted her steak. I do not recommend.
