Greetings Triangle Seminoles!

We are fresh off an exciting spring weekend in Tallahassee. Jeremy & I just returned from the Alumni Association’s annual leadership conference where we met with other clubs from around the country. We came home with lots of new ideas on how to grow and strengthen our club.

Garnet & Gold game: Probably the most talked about piece of news being the battle for the QB position getting even more interesting as Jameis Winston put on quite a show during the Garnet & Gold game on Saturday. Read about it here: http://www.seminoles.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/041313aab.html Set your DVRs --The spring game will be replayed on ESPNU this Tuesday (4/16) at 7 AM and Sunday (4/21) at 3:30 AM.

TSC wins a prize: Another fantastic thing to happen was our club winning our very own brick at Westcott Fountain! Several clubs went home with some pretty cool raffle prizes, but ours is the only one that will be seen by Seminoles every day on campus. Next time you visit Tallahassee look for the brick adorned with our club’s name!

Seminole send-off: We are fortunate to have close to 40 high school students in the area leaving for Tallahassee this summer and will be hosting an event in their honor soon (most likely May or June). Please keep an eye out for more information. We really need good participation to make things like this a success. They deserve a strong support system at here at home.

Local athletics: Your Seminoles will be in town quite a bit this spring. Please come out to cheer them on. Make them feel welcome in the Triangle!!

· This weekend April 18-20: Women’s Track outdoor championships at NC State. We all know NC State can be a hostile environment. Please come out! There is safety in numbers!!! Admission is free. http://www.theacc.com/championships/acc-outdoor-track-field-championships.html

· Next weekend April 25-28: Women’s Tennis championships at Cary Tennis Park. http://www.theacc.com/championships/acc-tennis-championships.html

· Memorial Day weekend: ACC Baseball Tournament in Durham. In the past we have really gotten a raw deal on game times for this because the local teams obviously get the prime time spots. But if you’re interested in a pre-game outing/event/tailgate please let me know!
