Hello Nole Fans,
FINALLY! Game day is here! The Noles will take on Murray State tonight on ESPN3 (it's an internet only channel, not on cable). Just wanted to remind everyone we'll be meeting at Sparians this year for our game watching events - they have already tested ESPN3 and will have it displayed on multiple TVs. They are located in North Hills, but are across Six Forks from the big North Hills shopping complex - they are on the same side as the Harris Teeter. Sparians has been getting prepped for us all week and I'm attaching 2 pictures to show some of their new remodeling. The game is set to start at 6PM, and we have quite a good crowd showing up - we're estimating over 80 folks, so you may want to plan to arrive a little early. We'll have raffle prizes at half time as well, so be sure to bring a little extra to buy some tickets. For those with families, Sparians is VERY family friendly - there will be plenty for the kids to do along with enough space for them to roam.
I also wanted to remind folks about the NC State Tailgate BBQ plates we are selling. You are strongly encouraged to prepay and guarantee your meal (we'll only have 10-15 extra, so I wouldn't expect to buy one at the tailgate). The BBQ is catered by Smokey's BBQ (formerly Rubs) in RTP. The cost is $10 and includes pulled pork, 2 sides and a drink. Finally I wanted to pass along some info from Sparians about NFL events they're supporting. Sparians signed on with a national group called World Tavern Fantasy Football that has 2 components where each one offers the chance to win a pair Super Bowl tickets. See our e-mail blast from last week and here are links to the 2 areas of focus. Wanted to see if you might be willing to help us promote this to your group.
