The Duke Philosophy Department invites philosophers and academics in related fields to Social Ontology 2024, which will be taking place in a just few weeks here at Duke. More details below. I encourage you to send this information to local people you think may be interested.
Social Ontology 2024 will be held July 22-25, 2024 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The conference gathers philosophers, psychologists, economists, political scientists, social theorists, and other scholars interested in social ontology. Social ontology, broadly understood, is the field of philosophy that investigates the nature of the social world and how it works. The conference will host over one hundred talks held in parallel sessions. The conference will feature keynote talks from prominent leaders in social ontology like Johan Brännmark, Brian Epstein, Sally Haslanger, Michael Tomasello, and Åsa Burman.
