Meet at Reedy Fork Trail head off Lake Brandt Road. Ready to roll at 6pm. Will ride Reedy Fork, Blue Heron out and back. Roll time 1 1/2hrs. Light and Helmets are required. Let us know if you need to borrow a light so we can bring them. We have a couple.

Thanks for creating this list!

The GFTS website says the trails are closed due to wet conditions.    If still closed tomorrow, is this ride a non-starter?

Thanks,
Matt

Absolutely not, if trails are closed, there's no ride. In fact, there are edits being made today to make the list and it's users'/moderators' stance on closed trails very clear, which is: we are all expected to obey those closures. Anyone out destroying the hard work of our local trail builders is not welcome as a part of the list. Breaking the rules, especially rules set to protect our trails, will not be advocated, condoned, or tolerated. In fact, we encourage you to contact rangers if you see people riding closed trails. Also, please use the list as a way to share closures with others, as many may not be aware of some closures until they get there and find a sign up.

Thank you for that VERY important question and you'll see more clarity regarding this in the List Rules later today!

Guys, unfortunately tonight's ride is called off. We planned ahead thinking the trails may be reopened by today, but they are not! We'll reschedule for another ride next week and post it here! In the meantime, follow the Greensboro Fat Tire Society on Twitter and bookmark their website for reference. They're both great information resources. And as always, feel free to post any unlisted trail closures that you discover here on the list for everyone to be notified of!

Too bad, I was hoping trails would dry and could open.

They'll be dry and open soon though, weekend is looking really nice!

Do you mountain bikers have ride classifications like us roadies do that would apply to this ride?  In other words, is this a beginner, intermediate, or some other level?
