In 2024 alone, approximately 40,000 people lost their lives in traffic crashes across the United States. Many more lives have been been tragically lost this year to date. World Day of Remembrance is a day to remember all those who lost their lives and their families, including the disproportionately high number of victims who were on bicycles or travelling by foot.
Join us at the upcoming World Day of Remembrance event brought to you by the Greensboro Department of Transportation, BIG, Major Taylor Cycling Club NC and the Barber Park Community Bike Shop. The event will include a very slow-paced, beginner level ride intended for bicyclists of most ages and skill levels.
DATE: Sunday, November 16, 2025
TIME: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
LOCATION: Greensboro History Museum
130 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401
Bring your bicycle if you have one and would like to participate in the ride. Bicycles and helmets will be available to borrow if you or your children do not have your own. The number available will be limited and loaned on a first come, first serve basis.
We will also be accepting donations of food for Urban Ministry at the event.
