Major Taylor Cycling Event: We Ride, We Vote

#MTCCNC is hosting a FREE “We ride, We vote” ride on 9/17/2022 for our members and other area cyclists.  This event is supported by North Carolina Black Alliance.  It is limited to 100 riders, and all riders will receive a free “We Ride, We Vote” cycling jersey. To register go to: Bikereg.com

We Ride, We Vote

Registration begins  7/25/2022

John Lewis once said that “Voting is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have.” This November, voters in NC and across the nation will be given another opportunity to utilize that tool. This ride will emphasize the importance of voting in the upcoming elections, and highlight an ongoing barrier to voter participation: gerrymandering and unfair redistricting.

The 25-mile route will begin in downtown Greensboro and run through areas that have historically been gerrymandered, or still are.
