A Couple of Novice Questions

Good afternoon, TRL!
It's been some time since I've been in the group, and I've been away from cycling for some time.
Myfiancée and I are trying to get into riding. She is very novice and has only ridden her bike a handful of times. I've been riding off and on, leisurely, for years.
A couple of questions:
1. Are there any riding schools or teachers in the area that could help her better than I could? I'd like to, eventually, get us to a few of the slower-paced rides, but she's not confident enough for that yet, in her words.

2. We're planning our honeymoon on the Outer Banks, with an excursion from Corolla down to Hatteras. Neither of us has ever done a bike tour before. For us to ride it as we plan, we'll do a lot of backtracking and end with about 210 miles in the saddle. We're also on a tight budget. Can anyone recommend local places, besides Facebook Marketplace, where we may be able to find used or affordable gear for our trips?
