Folks, 9 am this coming Sunday the 31st, I plan to ride from the Galax, VA trailhead for a 25 mile loop. Pace is intended to be slow and enjoyable for those who would like to take in the scenery or snap photos. We will ride down to Fries junction and onto Fries. From there we will cross back to Galax via paved roads over a climb on descending back into Galax. For those who would like to, there’s Creek Bottom Brewing for post ride refueling. 

Currently, the weather looks promising, but I will continue to monitor and make a decision that Saturday.  Bring hydration and helmet, and your sense of adventure. There is a point where we get onto pavement where a snack could be obtained.

Woodie, would it be too much to do this ride on an "All Road" bike such as a Giant Contend AR?
