Greensboro Community Bike Shop this week

Thank you to everyone who came to our Paint Party a couple months ago, the Open House on June 22 and our Soft Opening on July 5.  We had a great turnout each day!

After each post, I receive emails and texts asking if we will have other times to learn about the shop.  Although we will not officially open till August, this week you have lots of opportuities to learn about the shop and/or volunteer..

Please drop by at your convenince so we can answer your questions, one or two of our Board Members or lead volunteers will be at the Shop, 720 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, every day for at least 3 hours for the next two weeks.

This week we will be in the shop:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM
• Friday between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Please let me know if you plan to arrive after 8:00 PM one evening, because if I am not expecting anyone, I will head home.

During the month of July, we are primarily focused on:

1. Repairing bikes (we have not repaired many bikes over the last three months due to our transition to our new location).
2. Meeting new people who want to be involved in some way with our organization. This could be helping us make better coffee, picking up donated bicycles, working with local agencies, delivering bicycles to families, checking bikes in for repairs, helping at our bicycle library, repairing bicycles, helping us with community events, helping us with marketing, etc.
3. Setting up the retail side of our business (a completely new adventure for us).

Parking is available at 814 West Market Street after 3:00 PM on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
