Hi Folks!

This week's Easy Riders is Carl's favorite of the year, and he's back to lead us all on an enjoyable tour around town for National Night Out! The weather is touch and go this week, but unless it's raining at 6 PM on Tuesday, we will RIDE!!

What: Fun and easy ride for all
Where: We begin and end at Cycles de ORO, 701A Hill St, GSO
When: Every Tuesday evening (weather permitting) meet at 6 PM/depart at 6:30 PM
How: By bike, of course! Please remember your helmet and blinky light
Who: YOU

Here's our route:

This ride is brought to you by lots of good folks:
Cycles de ORO, Bicycling in Greensboro, The Greensboro Community Bike Shop and many of their volunteers.

Hope to see you there!

Treva

Love it - plan to be there....I'd say with bells on but I don't own any bells so - I'll just be there!

The city cancelled the National Night Out events due to the threat of rain, but the rain stopped around 5:30 pm and 6 of us went ahead with our ride at 6:30 pm. We discovered that of the 4 venues we were planning to visit, only one of them cancelled their National Night Out event - that the other 3 went ahead and did their events anyway. So we had free and delicious ice cream at Fisher Park (along with many neighbors, police, and fire department staff), then chatted with the 50+ folks at McColluch Park (a couple blocks west of MLK and south of the bike path), then got to Westerwood 5 minutes too late for more ice cream - next year we need to start of ride at 6 pm instead of 6:30 pm!

The weather was humid, but we were never rained on, and the sun even came out.
