As many of you may already know, 2 new board members were voted in during our June TTT team meeting.
Melissa Roberts was voted in to replace Kerrie Ribando who stepped down as our VP of Marketing! Any of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Melissa, know that her level of energy and enthusiasm are through the roof :-). She also has great experience working with non-profits as well as organizing fund-raiser events for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Kerrie has been with the TTT and on the board for nearly 3 years. She has been a huge advocate for the TTT meeting random triathletes and some how convincing them to sign up as TTT members. I wish to thank Kerrie for all the hard work, dedication, and fellowship she has provided the team. She will use her spare time to focus on her family and ramp up her triathlon training. Look for her set the course on fire in her future triathlons!
In addition, we voted in a new team president. Brian De Young graciously accepted the position. Brian, who is already a TTT board member (webmaster), has been very active with the team organizing and leading training events all across town. He brings new idea's and a renewed level of energy that will propel the TTT forward and onward. I will remain very close to the TTT and triathon focusing on my new venture into endurance sports coaching as owner of Pure Endurance Coaching My time with the TTT has been a tremendously rewarding experience. I have met some of the most inspirational, friendly, focused, and passionate people on the face of the planet and love that the TTT is now at a point where it can grow organically. Through the TTT, I developed as a endurance athlete, discovered that I spent too many years in a misguided attempt at becoming healthy through sport, became entrenched in the triathlon/endurance lifestyle, cultivated a unique point of view on how to combine health and fitness, and now seek to share my passion through coaching.
Please welcome Brian and Melissa to the board and thank them for working hard to make your team the best there is! Rise and Shine :-)
