A successful software company in the Research Triangle Park area is searching
for a Software Development Manager to coordinate and lead a team of VC+
+ and Java developers. This applicant will be responsible for architecting
and guiding the design and implementation of modeling, simulation, and
automated decision support tools. The core tool is a standalone Windows,
VC++/MFC application involving advanced graphical user-interfaces and
physics-based simulation tools. The application will be migrating to a
new, distributed, client-server architecture over the next few years.


The successful candidate will have a BS or graduate degree in CS, Eng,
or Physics. Additionally, the candidate will have 5+ years of software
development experience, 3+ years of software management experience, strong
OOAD skills, and the ability to coordinate, supervise and evaluate a team
of 6-10 developers. Specific experience with VC++, MFC, COM, OpenGL,
Java, and/or CORBA would be beneficial. US citizenship is required, as
well as some travel.
