TRex client Python 3.12 support

Hi team,

I'm aware, that there are no new TRex releases lately. Seems like the development in TRex is no longer a priority for Cisco :(

Nevertheless ... would it be possible, to release / build the client package with Python 3.12 support? Currently, Python 3.12 is not supported, as documented in earlier posts here (for example https://groups.google.com/g/trex-tgn/c/iz06h7vkdgA/m/u98a2f5pAgAJ)

Would be great!

Hi Andrea, Johannes

We’re in the process of adding Python 3.12 support. However, this patch is currently causing some regression failures.
You can use this branch for now until we complete the fixes.
