Hi all,

I'm an apprentice working on a project where we want to use TRex. We want to install it on a dell server (OS : Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) which has two interfaces "Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller E810-C for QSFP". The objective is to be able to go up to 100Gb/s or at least 40Gb/s.

Can you guide me through the installation of TRex ?

Do I need to install DPDK first ?

Is the following command sequence sufficient for the installation ?

$ wget --no-cache http://trex-tgn.cisco.com/trex/release/latest

$ tar zxvf latest

Do I need to add any other modules or drivers ?

I am just starting this project, thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

No you don't need to install DPDK, it is integrated.
