TRex support on Cisco VIC 1340

Hi, TRex folks,

I have a B-series blade server which equipped with Cisco VIC 1340. It is a 20Gbps card, running on firmware version 4.1(1d). According to this document, it should be supported:

So when i run TRex (v2.29), I am still getting:

Warning: In order to fully utilize the VIC NIC, firmware should be upgraded to support advanced filtering

  Please refer to https://trex-tgn.cisco.com/trex/doc/trex_manual.html for upgrade instructions

If this is an unsupported card, or you do not want to upgrade, you can use --software command line arg

This will work without hardware support (meaning reduced performance)

So want to check if there is quick thing to do to not run in software mode, or maybe I still need to stick to software mode for a while?

Interestingly, I followed the document, and however in my VIC 1340, I don't see that "advanced filter" option:

You will need to upgrade the CIMC version
