Subject: What a great project. Please forward to others.
We are a fourth grade class at Richard Crane Elementary School in
Rohnert Park, California which is 50 miles North of San Francisco. In
conjunction with the 2000 census, we decided to do an e-mail project.
We
are curious to see where in the country and world our e-mail will
travel
by
Internet between the period of February 4 to April 10, 2000. We would
like
your help. If you receive this message and are willing to participate,
we
ask you to do these two things:
1. E-mail us and tell us your location so that we can plot it
on
our

U.S. or World map.
2. Forward this e-mail to as many people as you can.
Thank you for any help that you can give.
Our e-mail address is: boa...@crpusd.sonoma.edu
<mailto:boa...@crpusd.sonoma.edu>
We hope to hear from you soon!
Your friends, Mr. John Boarman's fourth grade class,
Richard Crane School, Rohnert Park, CA, USA

Um, didn't this already take place and at another school and they
received so many emails it crashed their system, and the teacher had to
cancel the project?

No, no. Your getting all mixed up. The email you're thinking about is from
that Peruvian kid dying of cancer. For each person who emails him with
grandma's cookie recipe, Bill Gates will give a thousand bucks. But if you
receive that email, whatever you do, do NOT open it. It contains a virus
that will crash your computer and molest your dog. Please send this message
to everyone you know. Twice.

To quote a message I got once:

Send this to 1-5 people, and 1-5 people will be pissed at you.
Send this to 10-20 people, and 10-20 will plot your death.
