I have just been informed by Leigh Abbott, V.P.Social Affairs, DUCSO
(Durham University Centre Students Organzation) "de...@idirect.com" -
of a speaker series taking place at Durham College.
These lectures are always on a Tuesday Night - in the main building -
Lecture Theatre Room C113 -
7:30 p.m. sharp, running for 30 to 45 minutes.
A Question and Answer period follows, with refreshments served.
This is meant to be an informal reception-type period, where the audience
can interact on a one-on-one basis with the speaker.
All lectures are free - and anyone is welcome - students, staff,
administration, friends, family and the general public.
I've missed telling you of the first two lectures - but will try to keep
you informed in the future.
December 15th, 7:30, Room C113 - JOHN O'TOOLE, MPP Durham East
"Mr.O'Toole is going to speak on his involvement with the Performance
Measures Review Committee, which is responsible for reviewing the Ontario
Ministries on their policies and how well they are sticking to their
business plans."
January 19th, 7:30, Room C113 - LUCKY DUTT, Nominee, Durham's "Young
Entrepreneur Of The Year" award
"He manages a store called SportsDesk, in the Oshawa Centre, and is an
experienced public speaker ... to lecture on creating opportunity in the
business world with a direct emphsis on young people just emerging from
post-secondary education ... an exciting topic for the students graduating
from the York business program at UCD this April."
We will be including information on this lecture series in our future FYI
newsletter, as well.
If you have any questions or wish further information, I'm sure Leigh would
be happy to help, at the above email address.
Cheers to all -
Helen
