MICRO SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Various locations in Ontario
Permanent Positions available in the following locations: Toronto
Area, Ottawa, Belleville, Kingston, Oshawa, Cornwall, Peterborough,
Pembroke, Thunder Bay, Kenora, Sudbury, Timmins, Owen Sound, Barrie,
Orillia, Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay, Brantford, Hamilton, Kitchener,
London, Niagara Penninsula, Windsor, Mississauga, Brampton,
Orangeville and Georgetown.
The following government organization is responsible for this
competitive process: Human Resources Development Canada, Information
Technology Centre.
SALARY:
$24,662 to $42,904 commensurate with qualifications, with a monthly
terminable allowance of $130.
WHO CAN APPLY:
Preference may be given to applicants residing or working in Ontario.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Permanent positions are available with Human Resources Development
Canada,Information Technology Solutions, where services are supported
by a highly technically diverse infrastructure. This department
provides opportunity for learning, education and development within an
organization that is client driven and people focused.
CHALLENGE:
* Planning, analyzing and co-ordinating automated systems for the
delivery of programs and services to the clients of Human
Resources Development Canada.
EDUCATION:
* Successful completion of an approved post-secondary program in
computer science or an associated discipline, or an acceptable
combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in using and supporting micro-computer based operating
systems, and applications based on them.
* Experience in implementing micro-computer based systems.
* Experience in troubleshooting of micro-computers, printers and
other related peripherals equipment.
