another silly comp. question..

hello. me again. here's a simple question that i can't figure out. everytime i set my background on my desktop, it's never there the next time i turn my computer on. i have to keep setting it. it used to save it when i set the background, but now, it's just a blank color everytime i reboot my comp. anyway i can make it stay again?
