GE CANADA JOB DESCRIPTION OF A SHORT-TERM POSITION GE Canada's Engineering Laboratory carries out applied research and development for world product mandate businesses, such as, large industrial motors and hydroelectric generators. The laboratory has expertise in electromagnetics, heat transfer, metallurgy and insulation systems. A short-term position is available for a student or graduate with background in electromechanical energy conversion, electromagnetic field theory, numerical analysis and knowledge of high level computer programming languages. Activities will include development of computational models for prediction of electromagnetic performance of large rotating machines, computer programming in UNIX FORTRAN and validation of computer models.
