DUTIES:
To assist the Land Use Coordination section with information management for
the Implementation of Ontario's Living Legacy. You will provide assistance
in project management using MS Project, participate in database management
for both spatial (GIS) and non-spatial data, and provide access to
data/information to internal and external clients. You will participate in
the maintenance and development of the Living Legacy Internet and Intranet
Sites and provide general support to Section staff in the use of the suite
of MS Office tools such as Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. proof of full-time enrollment in a recognized post secondary college
or university or graduation within the last 5 years
2. proof of eligibility to work in Canada
3. knowledge of information management theory and principles including
relational database theory.
4. general understanding of resource management principles and
management techniques.
5. demonstrated experience with MS Access and the other suite of MS
products such as Word, Excel PowerPoint; familiarity with MS Project or
similar project management applications
6. working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
7. proven ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
and with non-government clients and partners
8. good communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
