Hey does anybody happen to have an official Trent logo in vector-based
format? Something like a CGM, WMF or the like?

The only ones I can find are the static bitmaps on the web site, but they're
kind of a bummer when you scale them. I've tried smoothing and aliasing and
tracing the outline, but I just can't seem to get a good clean copy. We need
the sucker for TFLOP stuff, and hey wouldn't it look cool if I could put a
nice big Trent logo on all my assignments? Then I'd be oh so envied....

Corel Draw will let you convert it to a vector based format
once you do that scaling won't be a problem :)

That what I had already done -- I have Corel 8. However, it was not able to
do it cleanly, and the edges of the logo were very jagged due to an insane
number of nodes that were created to form the edge of the circle. When I
removed the nodes and smoothed out the edge, it lost the shape. It just
didn't do a clean enough job for my satisfaction.

I was hoping to find an original vector-based. Thanks for the input though.

Call the Communications department and ask them. They are the ones
who drew it in teh first place. They should have it somewhere.

You could try Corel Xara, it is a great web graphics tool.

Or ask them to contract me to do it for them.
Any format 2D or 3D, aslo meaning no future size limitations.

PS: I actually work in that field
