Weapon is one of the five types of equipment that are available in Shadow Fight 2, along with armor, helm, ranged weapon and magic. Weapons increase the damage done by the player through attacking with the "punch" button, as well as having different fighting animations depending on the weapon being used. Majority of the weapons are bought from the shop with either coins or gems, but some weapons are only obtainable outside of the shop such challenger weapons, boss weapons, and special event weapons.
To calculate damage, the weapon stat is added to the weapon's base damage value (A.K.A power) which is different for each attack type and can be checked from the player's move list. If the weapon stat is lower than the unarmed stat (increased by upgrading armor), the latter is used to calculate damage instead. This, however is never the case unless the player deliberately uses a low-level weapon.
There are two types of weapons available in the shop: standard weapons and super weapons. Standard weapons can be bought and upgraded with either coins or gems, and also do not come with enchantments. On the other hand, super weapons can only be bought and upgraded to higher levels with gems. Super weapons comes with enchantments. When bought, the level and the enchantment power of a super weapon will automatically scale to the player's current level.
Special weapons cannot be obtained from shop under normal circumstances. Challengers will hand over their weapons to the player after being defeated. Special event weapons must be bought or obtained during their respective events. Boss weapons are won after the player defeats their original owners in eclipse replays (except Titan). Set weapons can be obtained from the Underworld, either from opening certain chests or during special events.
Defeating bosses once again in Eclipse mode replay will reward the player with the boss' signature weapon. An exception to this is Titan, whose weapon cannot be obtained by players even after defeating him again in Eclipse mode.
These weapons belong to mythical equipment sets, with each carrying a unique mythical enchantment. Collecting these weapons are required to complete their corresponding equipment sets which unlocks the recipe for their associated enchantment.
These weapons are available during special events/dates that celebrate or correspond with real-life holidays. Some of them are available at the shop in the Special Edition and Nintendo Switch version. Select few may also be acquired outside of their event of origin through in-app purchases, when they appear or are included in certain limited paid in-game offers.
