Fagorwent out of business. Original parts are no longer made. We have a few parts left but they are going fast. We do carry two sizes of Fagor gaskets made by an independent gasket company. They are designed specifically for Fagor pressure cookers and are exact dimensional replications manufactured with white high temperature food grade silicone.

Not all Fagor replacement gaskets available on the online marketplace are exact replicas. Ours are. In stock and same day shipping before 4:00 p.m Eastern Time. Click on model pages to view other replacement parts still available.

Is it time for a new pot? We highly recommend Presto Stainless Steel or Aluminum Pressure Cookers. Presto has in business since the early 1900s. For affordability and replacement parts availability Presto pressure cookers are it.

How to find your

Pressure Cooker Model Number

Model numbers are usually on the product in a visible location. Look for an aluminum, silver, or white tag that has a number stamped into it. Use that number when searching for parts by model number.

I am new to the MC@H world. Today I finally bought a pressure cooker. Cooks Illustrated ran a bunch of comparison tests a while back, and concluded that the 8-quart Fagor stainless steel, for about $100, was virtually as good as PCs costing much, much more, and labeled it their best buy. So that's what I got, from Amazon. Interestingly, on Amazon, one can for $110 buy that PC, with no accessories other than a basket, and pay for the shipping; OR one can buy a kit, with that PC, a 4-quart pot to go with it, the basket, and a glass non-pressure lid, and with free shipping, for $99. I did the latter. While others on this list may not be as skinflinty as I, I would be curious (while I await its arrival in 6-10 business days) to hear if others have had good experiences with the Fagor.

Which model did you get? The price differences are not only due to accessories there may be price variations also based on the model. Fagor has a range of models from economy to premium. Here are all of their descriptions.

I also have a Fagor, a 9 qt Duo, with 2 pressure settings (apparently rated at 8 PSI and 15 PS1); however, there seems to be some discrepency when I try to use the 15 PSI and MC recipes. In particular, I am getting a lot of burned results, and too much liquid evaporation. I haven't experiemented too much with the lower setting as there typically isn't enough pressure to have the desired effect on tougher cuts of meat (e.g., beef knuckles for stock).

The Fagor is a venting pressure cooker. Just be careful that you keep the heat at the minimum needed. Don't use the lower setting as you won't get the same temperature and the same browning effects. If you still have the same kind of problems when you monitor the heat closely try adding additional liquid as 9 qt is quite a large PC.

I own the same model and experienced the same issue (burning). If you read the in-depth portion of the user's manual they tell you to lower your rangetop setting from what recipes recommend if using an electric (coil or ceramic) stovetop which is what I have. Possibly that is your issue as well, but if not lowering heat input should still solve the issue. ALSO - on the high pressure setting I noticed I need to tap the PC with a wooden spoon near the popper-indicator to get it to come out ... otherwise it often sticks and you end up cooking far longer thinking the PC is still just coming up to pressure. I hope this helps. I love the science behind Cooks Illustrated and have been just thrilled today to learn of the MC cookbook - can't wait to save a bundle and purchase it. Just reading the descriptions tells me I will love it. We have a chef here in Fort Worth, John Bonnel, who was a chemistry prof before attending New England Culinary and his unique and amazing tasting offerings were what first got me interested in understanding all the processes and chemical reactions that create great food - sounds like this book captures exactly that.

I've had a Fagor pressure cooker that I purchased more than 20 years ago and it's almost identical to this one. It's my understanding that Fagor is the progenitor of Zavor but if it's not, the quality of these pots is simply superb. I've purchased several Zavor pressure cookers for family and friends over the years and all of those pressure cookers have been awesome. Once you've cooked with a pressure cooker, you're spoiled because of the ease and quick cooking times to say nothing about the taste and quality of the food that gets cooked in one of these pressure cookers. If you're thinking of one of these, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one ! In my opinion, these Zavor pressure cookers are the best available on the market, easy to use, safe, and very long lasting ! They're a very nice addition to ANY kitchen !

I have used Fagor and now Zavor pressure cookers for decades. I use mine almost daily. I cook so many pulses, beans and legumes. But with a Duo, I can also cook root vegetables at lower temps. I've never been unhappy with their products, rather, impressed with their skill and art in cookware.

After a late start and frustrating snow delays along the way, my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter arrived for dinner - only to be further dismayed to realize I had not yet started the pot of stew I had promised. Stew typically takes hours. This one was ready in under 45 minutes, to everyone's delight, and honestly, it was fabulous! Thank you, Zavor Duo pressure cooker! I've been telling everyone about the ease of cooking with my new Zavor Duo.

First I purchased the 8.4 qt Duo and was so impressed with its quality and ease to cook with that I purchased the 4.2 qt Duo. So happy that I have both sizes! In addition to the exquisite quality of these two stovetop pressure cookers the service I received from ZAVOR is one of the best. Jasmin was so helpful and attentive, great service from ZAVOR!

ZAVOR is the inspired creation of the team behind Fagor America. After closing its doors, the minds behind the top pressure cooker brand in the country put all their efforts into continuing the product line on their own terms, enter ZAVOR.

UPDATE 2020-03-10: The original version of this post wasn't clear about the fact that Zavor America is a different company that isn't affiliated with Fagor in any way, other than a few employees that used to work at Fagor. At Zavor America's request, I have changed this post to make it clear. Here is a statement from Zavor:

Fagor America and Zavor America are 2 different legal entities and Zavor has no affiliation with Fagor. The only ties between the two are a few staff members that are former Fagor employees, and therefore Zavor America has no responsibility to cover or service Fagor products.

Hello Mr. Vrobel. I have a Fagor 8 Qt Multi Cooker. I know now that they are no longer made and Zavor is the new company. Thank you for that explanation. However, I'm wondering about accessories for it. Do the Instant Pot accessories...the springform pan, the strainer basket, etc. fit in my Fagor 8 quart? Thank you. Claudia Lasiter

Hi MIke, we just bought a Zavor 8qt Lux edge presure cooker. I hope mine is the model with the improved gasket in lid. (I have no idea) and I am glad to hear of the muting of any beeping that will occur. Things of that nature drive me nuts. Thanks for the tips, I look forward to more while following your channel.

Fagor America recently sent me their new Premium 6 qt. Electric Pressure Cooker to review. They also offered to give away a Premium 6 qt. Electric Pressure Cooker to one lucky Pressure Cooking Today reader! Details on how you can win are at the bottom of this post.

So excited about this Fagor pressure cooker. I love the copper , so nice. I like the ceramic pot too. I have been researching pressure cookers and have come back to this one. Love the recipes you have on line as well.

I love my electric pressure cooker, but it is over 5 years old. I used it extensively when my daughter was in treatment for cancer, and we traveled 2 days a week for all day treatments, but with my pressure cooker I could get home at 5 and have a delicious dinner by 6. I could use a new one ?

I LOVE using a pressure cooker. Currently using a small electric one. LOVE! Latest favorite is meatloaf. No waiting an hour or more for the oven, and no heating up the place here in hot and humid Florida!

I got a InstaPot for Christmas last year and it is still sitting on my counter. I have 3 stove tops including 1 for our RV and 1 4 qt that I cook our puppies chicken breast. Not sure why I have not used it but I do wish it was not stainless steel as it is too hard to clean. Maybe I will cook something in it for this Christmas ? The Fagor looks to be a good pot.

I have 6 qt & 10 qt Fagor stovetop pressure cookers and use them both frequently. I have no need for an electric pressure cooker. I also use a Ninja 3 in 1 cooker which gives me the added flexibility of stovetop, slow cooker & oven functions. I bought this very cheaply on one of the food websites.

I have used pressure cookers and actually prefer electric over stovetop. My old electric one bit the dust a few months ago, and I would love to win a Fagor. My stovetop model is a Fagor, and I really appreciate the quality. Thanks for the opportunity!
