Trema-edge switch performance

Hi,

I would like to know if you have some performance benchmarks of  trema-edge switch.
What is the maximum throughput the switch can reach?

I did some measures and I am getting more than 1Gbps. Is that right?
As a userspace switch (Is it only userspace?), does it have some kind of optimization, to reach this performance?
