How to connect mininet to trema

I don't know if you already solved it or not. But I have a similar problem, I followed the official tutorial of mininet http://mininet.org/walkthrough/#appendix-supplementary-information regarding the remote controller thing. But unfortunately, the controller doesn't receive any event from the network.
