Anyone know why Trelby freezes for no reason and won't type?  What can I do?  Is it me?

I'm not sure. I recall this coming up once a few months, but we cannot fix this unless we can reproduce it.

(I recall running into the issue, but was never able to do it again). If you can identify the exact sequence of events that can cause the bug to occur, we can take a look.

This has happened to me numerous times, actually. Any time I adjust settings and return to typing, nothing comes up. Very troublesome. I have to restart the program.

Hi,

It sounds like you are able to reproduce the issue (list of exact steps so issue occurs without fail). Can you maybe list these -- it'll help a lot in actually fixing the issue.

Thanks

Hi, was unable to reproduce the error right now, but will post here again the next time I come across it and list the steps I took to get it. I did run across another error though. Every time I try to export I get "Error writing file (example).pdf. Permission denied."

Any idea what's causing this? Should I post it somewhere else?

Probably the PDF is being saved to a location you do not have access to. Choose a different place to save the file.

Hello,

I'm so glad I came across this forum.  I have the exact same problem as the first poster - I'll be using the program for 30 seconds, and it won't let me type and I have to restart it.  I could theoretically write a script like this, but please tell me if it can be fixed.

Here's the "sequence of events" you want:

1. I open the program.
2. I edit an existing field.
3. What I type doesn't show up.

Hey, sorry I haven't provided an answer. I don't think this can be fixed in Trelby and it's no longer being supported AFAIK. I ended up switching altogether to WriterDuet and FadeIn.
