I have noticed a large discrepancy between the page count for a screenplay when it is seen in Final Draft compared to Trelby, even when changing the default A4 page size (European?) in Trelby to Letter.  Normally I see a massive decrease in page count in Trelby when importing a Final Draft .fdx screenplay.  I would like to transition to Trelby. Staring at a blank page is tough, sweating blood to come up with scenes, dialog-- a bit disparaging to see a 100 page Final Draft screenplay drop to 70 pages in Trelby, even though the word count is the same.  Any suggested tweaks for getting the page count more on par between the two programs? Thank you.

You can edit the script line height etc to get it close to what Final Draft provides. These are available under script settings.

Okay thank you; I am tinkering with the settings, getting them such that the page count is very close to that of a Final Draft screenplay (same font used, same screenplay).

Hi - Just wondering if you got this sorted. I found it to be a bit closer to FD only about 4 or so pages. Then I changed the margins as per U.S. type formats; 1 inch top, bottom and right and 1.5 left. Please let me know if you have a number for line height.

Cheers,
Troy
