Problem importing GPX

Hello.

I've run into a problem when trying to import GPX files. Currently I'm downloading GPX files into my cellphone and then using the "open with" option of the file manager. Then, I select the "Trekarta Import" icon from the options, but a dialog pops-up saying:

"The selected app does not support opening this item using a "Content URI". As of lae 2018 Google has required apps to only use Content URIs for opening files. You may need to update the target application or contact its developer".

Is there a way to solve or circumvent this problem?
